An heartfelt event was captured, with Anita Cobby’s sister Kathryn, Premier Mike Baird and the amazing team of detectives who solved the murder case of Anita Cobby, marking 30 years since her tragic death.
It was an honor to be a part of and to photograph the event the Anita Cobby Inaugural Memorial Charity Dinner on 2nd February together with Dave & Erin and Power Creative Team who videoed the night as well. Thank to my wonderful husband who also helped me on the night.
The story 30 years ago and on, has touched thousands and thousands of hearts and it still haunts me today that we lost such an innocent and beautiful person. Thanks to the amazing detectives who worked endlessly on this case and brought justice for Anita and her family. Yet their work hasn’t stopped there.
Together with Anita’s sister Kathryn and those involved with families affected by homicide came the birth of ‘Grace’s Place’ in honor of Kathryn and Anita’s mothers name, is committed to building a world first residential trauma recovery centre for children after homicide. Grace’s Place will be there to provide support in a safe place where children, teenagers and their families grieving the death of someone they love through homicide, can share their experiences, receive counseling, be involved in therapeutic programs and learn life skills on how to survive the trauma without their loved one.
Please go and like their page and support this amazing centre.
